Antique WPA American cloth doll. She measures a 24 inches long. She is made of fabric with a painted stockinette head. Painted facial features. WPA Handicraft Project 7040 Milwaukee Wisconsin stamp on her back. Made in the 1930's. She is wearing her original cotton hand sewn dress and pantaloons, no shoes. She has a cotton yarn wig in a classic short bob. This antique cloth doll comes from the collection of an antique doll collector who is downsizing her collection. This collector is known for her fine and rare cloth doll collection. Each of her dolls has its own wonderful story and many are fine and/or rare examples of each genre. Condition: Good and clean condition, a couple of tiny rust marks on the body/legs, Overall light fade, elastic in the underpants is a bit tired, no stand, no shoes and socks, FANTASTIC!!!
