SOLDAntique Izannah Walker cloth doll with hard-to-find detail painted boots. She measures 18 inches long. She has beautifully detailed applied ears. Pressed cloth doll with oil painted complexion and features. Painted hair has lovely painted curls framing the back of her neck. Painted brown eyes with lid lines and brows above. Molded nose with nostrils and a closed mouth. This doll was made in Rhode Island and Izannah Walker later applied for a patent in 1873. We believe that this is one of her pre-patent dolls. Her boots are painted with a lace-up detail and painted tassels. This lovely doll is wearing her original or 1860's era cotton print dress, cotton chemise, cotton pantaloons and petticoat. She also comes with her original 1860's era solid cotton dress, two additional cotton petticoats, and a cotton flannel petticoat. All of the clothing is skillfully made with fine stitch work. This doll is highly sought after by antique cloth doll collectors. This amazing antique cloth doll comes from the collection of an antique doll collector who is downsizing her collection.
